Yesterday I looked at our pear tree and thought it wouldn't be long before it was in blossom.
I was right! The blossom opened today.
Last year it was in blossom on the 1st April.
This year it's 6 days earlier.
And the bees were making the most of it.

Easter markets in Torre and La Fresneda
Today saw the annual Easter market for the Amas de Casa of Torre del Compte take place in the main street.
However, by the time we arrived just about everything had been sold!
Although there were some people around it seemed very quiet.
So we decided to go across to La Fresneda and see how their market compared.
The market concentrates on antiques...
...and there were hundreds of people browsing the stalls.
The bakery was doing a roaring trade.
The very special museum was open to the public today.
It has been the best day of the year so far - clear blue sky and quite warm too.
Coming back to Torre there were more photo opportunities.
A lovely morning.

A trip to Valencia
We don't make a habit of going to Valencia for the day as it is 3 hours drive away...
...but this visit was rather special as we had been told by the Jaguar dealer in Valencia that the new Jaguar F-Pace was on display in the Colón market and we wanted to see it.
However, when we got to the market we couldn't find the exhibition and were told by a stallholder that the car had been on display earlier this month but not now.
So, we had lunch in the Ma Khin cafe in the market which produces excellent Thai dishes.
It certainly was a long way to go for lunch!
