On the 24th March we took our 4½ year old Range Rover Evoque with just over 80,000 kms on the clock to the Land Rover dealer in Tarragona for its annual service.
While we were there we looked in the showroom at the new 2016 Evoque. One main difference is the engine, now a 2.0 litre diesel produced by Land Rover called the Ingenium rather than the 2.2 litre Ford diesel which was very good but the new engine is more refined and efficient. The second main difference is the automatic gearbox which is 9 speed although the previous 6 speed was very good too. There are other little changes such as the GPS system which is a lot more responsive. We ordered one with an automatic opening and closing tailgate and park assist which both work a treat.
Finally the car had been built, delivered, given a pre-delivery check and was ready for collection on the 28th July just over 4 months from ordering.
Was the wait worth it? I was hoping the new car would be as good as the one we had, but it isn't - it's better and it is certainly worth the wait.
You can view the short video I made showing our new Evoque HERE.

Good things come to those who wait. It sounds like you found a nice new car and I'm sure you'll conclude that it was worth the wait. The last car my husband bought wasn't ready when he wanted either and he almost drove me crazy with his impatience. It seems that isn't a problem for you. Enjoy the new car!
