Málaga Cathedral, built between 1528 and 1782, has a magnificent north tower standing 84 metres high.
However, the south tower remains unfinished as the funds were given to aid the Colonies in North America fight to become independent of Great Britain to form the first United States.
Because of this the Cathedral is known as "La Manquita" or "The One-Armed Lady".
There are lots of other architectural delights throughout this part of the city.
The market, El Mercado Central Atarazanas, was built using the grand entrance to the walled city which was constructed by the Moors.
Opposite the market is a rather special bar. The thing that makes this bar so special is that when you walk through the door, you actually step back 100 years.
They only sell 1 thing - Sherry. It is straight from the barrel and they have every conceivable type!
There are many other places of interest in Málaga - perhaps next year we will visit for a few days before our week at Doña Lola.
