On the way, we looked back at this great view.
We have a lovely room with a large four poster bed...
...and a great view from our window. Here we are at 1,630 metres above sea level and the Sierra de Gredos reaches 2,592 metres.
The inside of the Parador is delightful...
...and the outside has those spectacular views...
...which can be enjoyed at leisure.
Nearby, is evidence that the Romans were here.
There is evidently a thriving forestry business...
...as well as plenty of local wildlife.
Nearby is Mombeltrán with the 15th century castle...
...along with some very fine locals.
