Tomelloso

Tomelloso is around half-way back home so it was a good place to stay overnight.

Our hotel, Hotel Paloma, was right in the centre of the town next to the Plaza de España...

...with the fountains and the church in the background.

On this particular evening there was a celebration taking place and along the street there were shrines and displays of flowers.

We walked a short distance to an Italian restaurant which the hotel had recommended, Marquinetti, for our evening meal...

...and it too was very good,...

...very busy with trade from the locals which is always a good sign.

The following morning started with breakfast in the hotel bar and what an incredible meal it was!

I've included the photo above not to prove that I don't just drink beer or wine but to show the wonderful croissant we were each presented with along with the tostadas, ham, cheese, a selection of preserves, fruit and coffee. A wonderful end to a great holiday.
